Solace

We provide psychotherapy to refugees and asylum seekers across Yorkshire and the Humber regions. Our specialist practitioners provide talking therapy through interpreters trained in this unique setting. We support displaced people living with the effects of trauma and persecution. Across the region we work with individuals, families and children. As well as talking therapy, we provide group stress management sessions and a programme of pain management. Enabling individuals and families to access and stay with this support can take extra lengths, understanding, experience and skill – which is what makes Solace so unique. Our main office is in Leeds, but our services cover Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale, as well as outreach support throughout Yorkshire and the Humber region for children and families.

Sharing Voices

Sharing Voices Bradford (SVB) is a community development mental health organisation actively supporting and working with diverse minority communities of Bradford. Sharing Voices Bradford was established on the basis that an individual’s mental health experiences often arise from issues around: poverty, racism, unemployment, loneliness, family conflicts, relationship difficulties, and other socio-economic and personal factors that cannot be merely understood through biological terms alone. Understanding where an individual is on their journey of recovery, listening to people's own explanation, and helping find solutions based on their needs is a key part of our work.
